Common questions

What's a memory packet?

One captured unit of context — an explicit save, a page visit, a session summary, an extracted result. ~500 bytes on average. We deliberately use 'packet' instead of 'memory' to keep the unit countable for billing.

What happens if I go over my packet cap?

Free and Pro return a 429 on /v1/push once you hit the monthly cap, with a clear error and a link to upgrade. Reads (recall, search) keep working. No surprise overage charges. Enterprise has configurable hard caps.

Where is data hosted?

Postgres + pgvector in us-east today. Every organization carries a region column — the architecture is ready for additional regions when an enterprise customer requires it.

What does 'immutable audit log' actually mean?

The app connects to Postgres as a role that has SELECT/INSERT on audit_events and no UPDATE or DELETE grant. A bug in the app can't delete audit history — Postgres would reject the statement. Pro and Enterprise both get this.

Can I export everything and leave?

GET /v1/me/export returns your full data as JSON. DELETE /v1/me removes your principal (with last-owner guards to prevent locking your org out). Audit events are preserved for legal continuity even after deletion.

How does Enterprise pricing actually work?

Starts at $49/seat/month with a 5-seat minimum. Volume discounts kick in at 50+ and 200+ seats. We bundle in a Slack channel, custom region, and your security review. Contracts run annual.
